At Sawmill our mornings start by listening to Boogie, Arlene and Marty, on Forth 1, as we make our way to sites or while we are at the office. When we heard that Boogie bravely took on the decision to run the Edinburgh Marathon we wanted to support him and his chosen charity, Cash for Kids.
Boogie and the Forth 100, a team of first time marathon runners, will be running to help raise money to support Cash for Kids in Edinburgh, The Lothians, Fife and Falkirk.
Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping children that need it the most. Their mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. They, like us, believe all children should be able to express their individuality, achieve their potential and live life to the full.
We have sponsored Boogie and our logo will be on his marathon shirt (you might have even heard Jade on the radio)! Now we would like to encourage others to donate to such a worthy cause. Any amount of money that you can donate will help this charity.
With just over a month until the marathon, if you would like to support Boogie, The Forth 100 and Cash for Kids, you can do so by donating here.
We can’t wait to see Boogie and The Forth 100 cross the finish line on the 26th of May. We wish them the best of luck with their training and on the day!
We also wanted to wish Jade, our Operations Administrator, the best of luck. Jade is running the half marathon for Strathcarron Hospice. Susan Daniel, (Michael, our co-founders wife), is running the full marathon for MND Scotland. We will be cheering you all on!
